Felix Jansen, age 77, a retired farmer living in Memphis, Missouri, passed away on January 13, 1993, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Felix was born December 17, 1915, the son of Henry and Ivan (Busby) Jansen at the family farm north of Arbela, Missouri, and east of Mt. Moriah Church in Scotland County, Missouri. His parents moved the family to Upton, Iowa (on the Iowa/Missouri line) where they farmed from 1916 to 1934, when they returned to the place of his birth, where he farmed with his father. With the exception of a few years after marriage, Felix lived on this farm until his retirement in 1981, when he moved to Memphis.

It was at an early age that Felix became a member of the Union Church at Upton, Iowa.

On August 28, 1937, Felix and Delaphine Velva Selby were united in marriage at the Methodist Parsonage in Memphis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, in 1951 and his mother, Ivan in 1974; one great nephew, Donald H. Stevenson, in 1981; and one great niece, Beverly Ann Howell.

The family has suggested memorials to the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Funeral Services were held January 16, 1993, at the Payne-Gerth Chapel in Memphis, Missouri.

Interment was in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Scotland County, Missouri.
