Tabitha Billington married James Marion Valentine on 7 January 1885 near Antelope in Jack County, Texas at her parent's home. After his wife's death, James Marion Valentine moved with a group to Oklahoma where he is buried.

Services were held in the Plum Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. G.W. Black, a circuit Baptist preacher.

Mrs. Valentine is buried beside her father, John Levi Billington. The Billington families owned no land in Young County. Their land was in Jack County, but their rented house was located in Young County, Texas.

Tabitha and her husband, James Marion lived near her parents in Young County on rented land according to the Young County records. They owned no land.
