Mary Alderman, was the daughter of the late Hugh James Alderman and Nan White Alderman and lived in Pavo her entire life. She had a AB degree from Valdosta State College, a master of education from Mercer University and a specialist in education from the University of Georgia. Ms. Alderman was a member of the Pavo Women's Club and Women's Missionary Union and DAR. She was retired from The Thomasville City School System. She never married and has no descendants.
