Mrs. Alvaretta Long, 81, widow of Thomas Long, died at her home in New Castle Thursday, Sept. 25th after an extended illness. The Long family were residents of Brook for many years. Surviving is a son Marion.

The body was brought to Brook and funeral services were held at the Hershman & Weston Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.
