Marjorie Buntyn Marjorie Buntyn died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at a local nursing home. She was a long-time resident of Austin, and is survived by her husband, Andrew; her son, Robert; three grandchildren, Laura Woodall, Michael Buntyn, and Susan Buntyn; and six great- grandchildren. She was born in Tyler, Texas on January 24, 1922, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. William "Kin" Adams. She graduated valedictorian of her Tyler high school class in 1939, and attended and completed a local business college. She met Andrew Buntyn in Tyler, and they were married May 31, 1941. After living and working in other Texas towns, she and Andrew moved to Austin in 1966. Marjorie worked as a secretary and administrative assistant in several State agencies and for members of the State Legislature, prior to retiring in 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Louise Pickle of El Paso, Texas, and a brother Cullen M. Adams of Tyler, Texas.
