"The Kentucky Liquor Company was established in 1889 by Mr. Felix Adler, who came from Kansas City and obtained the first liquor license from the [Federal] Government, in the Territory. He has been very successful and in addition to the fine structure he occupies, he owns other valuable business property. Few establishments in Guthrie have done a more profitable business than "The Kentucky Liquor Company", and few men have given more liberally towards building up the town, than Felix Adler."
My special thanks to Brian Elston, for the biography of Felix Adler, and for the wonderful photo of the original "Kentucky Liquor Company" Adler Building, located on Oklahoma Avenue, Guthrie.
