Graveside services for Roy Keith Vest, age 30, of Nacogdoches were held Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Butch Grant officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.Pallbearers were Joey Leger, Doug Brown, Mike Leamons, Carl Moore, and William Beckham.

Mr. Vest died Sunday, November 18, 2001, at his residence. He was born July 17, 1971, in Pasadena and was the son of Roy Thomas Vest and Eunice Fay "Sissy" Dickey Rightmire. Mr. Vest attended the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed with East Texas Fabrication in Elkhart.

Mr. Vest was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Vest, and grandfather, Elmer Lee Dickey.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Vest of Nacogdoches; mother and step-father, Sissy and C. B. Rightmire of Grapeland; father, Roy Thomas Vest of Grapeland; two daughters, Keila Vest and Alissa Vest; three sons, Austin Cheatham, Jared Vest, and Roman Vest; a sister, Debra Melson of Elkhart; a grandmother, Eunice Dickey of Grapeland; and three nieces, Brandy, Magan, and Vanessa.
