Charles E Lady, 41, well known resident of Bluff City died at his home at 5 p m Thursday. Mr. Lady was a World war veteran serving in Co A 358th Infantry. He served with honor in the World war and was wounded in action. Surviving are his widow, two children: Charles E Jr and Eloise, three sisters: Mrs. C D Stone of Washington D C, Mrs. Harold D Young of Asheville N C and Miss Mary Lady of Bluff City and one brother Willard Lady of Bluff City. Funeral services will be conducted at Gunnings Chapel at 2:30 p m today with the Rev Truett Cox and the Rev T N Orr in charge. Military honors will be carried out at the cemetery. Pall bearers: A P Harkleroad, Earl Johnston, J W McClelland, Bill McKamey, Bryan Webb, and Wolford Miller. Honorary pall bearers: Dr. Earl Moody, Henry Thomas, John Wagner, Paul Kilgore, Dean Burnette, Henry Cecil, Charles Mullens, W T Ensor, S L Odell, R H Thomas, Worley Fleming, Edd Bouton, R B McKamey, R L Fleming, H A Mauk, W T Cickers, B Lindamood, Charlie Ketron, Arthur Millhorn, A B Hamilton, Clifton Lyons, Guy Sells, Frank Malone, Bob Galloway, Joe Thomas, Frank Henson, Cleve Hicks, Trilla Flannagan, E C Pyle of Kingsport.
