Lt Col John Albro, the father of John S Albro, did not approve of his marriage to Ann Trider in 1827, and so disowned and disinherited his son. As a result, his grandfather Samuel Albro memorialized his grandson John S Albro on his own headstone instead. Samuel Albro is my 4th great grandfather.
