Ruth Carlene Bannister, age 60, of Oneonta, AL, passed away February 7, 2010. She owned and operated a restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Gracie Giles Cordar; and brothers, Frankie and Billy Ray Cordar.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Bannister of Oneonta, AL; sons, Frankie Dale Carden (Linda) of Hayden and Larry Wayne Carden of Oneonta; grandchildren, Jeremy Hopkins (Melissa), Mindy Hopkins, Jennifer Hopkins, Candace Williams, Josh Carden, Nathan Willians, Jordan Carden and Levi Carden; great-granddaughter, Kendall Hopkins; sisters, Elizabeth Angle (Ellis) of Warrior; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Lemley Chapel at 11:00 AM with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 PM and on Wednesday from 8AM until funeral time at the Funeral Home. Bro. Arnold Kilgore, Bro. Denny Armstrong and Bro. Gary Craft officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Faucett, Wayne Giles, Chuck Angle, Bobby Angle, Stanley Bannister, and Jeremy McCay.
