Mrs. Brown was born in Bryson and had been a Borger resident since 1942, having moved from Collingsworth, Colo. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Claude Brown on Dec. 25, 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Verdon D. Brown of Borger and Joe Clinton Brown of Santee, Calif.; one daughter, Claudia M. Hart of Green Valley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice in Amarillo.

Brookie M. Brown, 88, died Tuesday, May 25, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Art McAninch, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
