Funeral services for Elza P. Adams, 61, of 1602 Yows will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Burleson, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.
Adams died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
He was born Oct. 5, 1913 in Tulsa County, Okla. and was married to the former Lula Belle Hamilton in 1937 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
They moved to this area in 1939 and he owned and operated the Alamo Service Station in Phillips. He served in the Airforce in World War II and in 1946 entered the independent oil business which he has been associated with since that time.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife Lula Belle, of the home; his father, Dave Adams of Jinks, Okla.; a brother, Elton Adams of Fritch and a niece.
Casketbearers will be Carl Saxon, Fritz Thompson, R.E. Sharpe, C.A. Sooter, Greer Smith and Vern Wyatt.
Honorary casketbearers will be Buster Caviness, O.B. Hunt, C.H. Sparks, Blaz Strovas, J.D. Williams and Carl Harber.
Friends may contribute to their favorite charity.
