PRUNTY William Randolph Prunty, age 80, born September 1, 1928 in Columbus, Oh., went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2009. A graduate of East High School, he also attended The Ohio State University. He retired from Rockwell International as a Manufacturing Engineer after 35 years of service. He attended Traveler's Rest Baptist Church. William loved life and was deeply committed to his family. Preceded in death by parents Curtis Sr. and Mattie Prunty, sister Sarah Elisabeth Prunty and brothers Curtis Jr., George, and James Prunty. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 63 years, Cora Prunty; daughters, Lois Stevens and Sandra (Stephen) Spann; grandchildren, Saundra (Jamel) Curry, Ashton and Stephen Spann; great-grandchildren, Christopher Stevens and Alesaundra Curry; and host of family and friends. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Traveler's Rest Baptist Church, 1533 Cleveland Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the start of service.
