Leonard, Texas - Funeral services for Rose Oakley Hargrove, age 95 of Leonard, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2004 at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery.
Mrs. Hargrove passed away Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Leonard Care Center.
She was born on May 18, 1909 in Ladonia, Texas the daughter of Gus Harris and Molly Apple Harris.
She married Burress Oakley on December 24, 1929 at the Hickory Creek, Texas after his death she married Roy P. Hargrove on April 9, 1966 in Mississippi. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Oakley and wife, Nancy Oakley of Ft. Worth, Texas; Kenneth Oakley and wife, Jean Oakley of Jacksonville; sister, Tranny Depoma of Paris,Texas; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both husbands, son, James Calvin Oakley and 12 brothers and sisters.
