Paul Tom McNamara was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Waco, the son of John Roberts and Rita (Moncus) McNamara. He began his banking career with Citizen's National Bank Feb. 7, 1967. He transferred within the organization to Community State Bank on July 1, 1975. His latest promotion was to senior vice president and was named branch manager of the wooded Acres Branch of Community Bank and Trust in July 1989. He was a member of the Northwest Waco Kiwanis Club for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; three daughters, Kristi and Ashley McNamara of Waco and Terri Zetsche of Dallas, a son-in-law, Ben Zetsche; two grandsons, Connor Zetsche and Hunter Paul Zetsche, his mother, Rita McNamara of Rock Creek; five brothers, John McNamara of Waco, Joe McNamara of Belton, Pat McNamara of Waco, Gene McNamara of Waco and Glenn Mcnamara of Rock Creek; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. He is also survived by many coworkers, customers and friends.
