Sadie Boutwell Clayton Campbell, a native of Quitman, MS, longtime resident of Mobile and a current resident of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home. The last surviving member of the Boutwell family, she was 101 years old.

Mrs. Campbell was an active member of First Christian Church of Mobile where she served as a Deaconess. She was a member of the GABS (Golden Age Belles) and enjoyed traveling with the group.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Claytor and George M. Campbell.

Survivors include her daughter, Patsi (Clint) Lowry of Gulfport; two grandchildren, ;Tami (Gary) Dawkins of Meridian, MS and Keith Lowry of Atlanta, GA; three great-grandchildren, Scott, Lindsay and Sydney Dawkins.

Internment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Odyssey Hospice and to Claudia Loving for their commitment, care and love during Mrs. Campbell's illness.
