Joseph P. Hines, 87, of Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, died Saturday, February 5, 2000 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Patrick Hines and Delia Taggart Hines and the widower of Martha Dalton Hines who died in 1979. Survivors include three daughters, Marietta (Sue) LaRose of Lansingburgh, Marjorie Brassel of Queensbury and Martha Litchfield of Marshfield Hills, MA; a son, Thomas J. Hines of Mechanicville; three sisters, Kathryn Brayman of Vienna, VA, Marjorie Malek and Virginia Sheeran, both of Troy; a brother, Raymond Hines of Troy; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Thomas, John and Frank Hines predeceased Joe. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 109th St. and 3rd Ave., Lansingburgh and at 12:00 noon in St. Augustine’s Church, 115th St. and Fourth Ave., Lansingburgh. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home.
