Services for Lemuel Sherman Killingsworth, 89, Zanesville, Ohio, are 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Criswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Rusty Fuller will conduct rites and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Killingsworth, formerly of Ada, died Tuesday in a Zanesville hospital.
He was born Oct. 27, 1895, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to John and Patience Green Killingsworth, and came to Ada in 1971 from Stillwater. He moved to Zanesville from Ada in 1979.
Mr. Killingsworth was a retired electrical engineer, and worked as district manager for the Rural Electric Administration in Stillwater. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Ada, Frontier Masonic Lodge No. 48, Stillwater, and was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Killingsworth served with the U.S. Navy Air Corp during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie, of the home; two daughters Rella Sroufe, Zanesville, and June Daniel, Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Sennie Short, Mineral Wells, Texas, Tennie Wylie, Saginaw, Texas, and Irene Allee, Bend, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
