Mrs. Lena Johnson Scurry, widow of Joseph H. Scurry of 1311 Ninth Ave., Conway, died November 23, 1959.
Mrs. Scurry was born Oct. 29, 1896, in the Galivants Ferry section of Horry County, daughter of the late George Madison and Florence Barnhill Johnson. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Conway. For a number of years she was secretary to the late Hoyt McMillan and R. B. Scarborough.
Survivors include a brother, G. Andrew Johnson of Charleston; three sisters, Mrs. P. M. Coleman of Conway, Mrs. John Wright of Charleston and Mrs. Starr Shelly of Charlotte; and a large number of nephews and nieces.
