Bud H. Bothwell, 72, went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2000. Survived by his wife, LaVonne Bothwell of the family home; children, Jeri Bothwell, Buddy D. (Susan) Bothwell, Debbie (David) Watkins and Leila Bothwell; brother, Gordon (Evelyn) Bothwell, all of Pueblo; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James "Rex" Bothwell and Richard Bothwell; and sister, Sharon Cowles. Born to Amos "Jack" and Leila (nee Bomar) Bothwell on Jan. 31, 1928, in Little Sioux, Iowa. He married LaVonne Montey of Red Cloud, Neb. on Oct. 27, 1950. Bud served his country in the Navy during World War II and was an Atomic Veteran, serving in the Bikini Islands. Bud owned and operated Bud Bothwell Stucco since 1954 and the business continues to be operated by his son. He was a member and a deacon at West Street Baptist Church. He will lie in state at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at West Street Baptist Church, 1001 West St., with Pastor David Peterson and Pastor Doug Morris officiating. Military Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team and interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
