COLCORD, Okla. - Olive Irene Billups, 98-year-old resident of Colcord, Okla., died Friday, March 30, 2001 in Siloam Springs, Ark. Born Jan. 5, 1903 in Centerton, Ark., she was the daughter of John Henry Callis and Gertie Belle Brown Callis. Mrs. Billups has been a lifetime resident of Colcord, Okla. She was a homemaker and worked in the Colcord Public School Systems where she was known as "Grandma." Mrs. Billups was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Billups, in 1970 and by one granddaughter-in-law, Linda Billups. She was a member of the Countryside Bible Church in Colcord.
She is survived by her son, Edward L. and his wife, Marie Billups, of Colcord; two grandsons, Gerald E. Billups and Timothy K. and his wife, Lori Billups, both of Colcord; one granddaughter, Genea K. and her husband, Curtis Shelley, of Colcord; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Ada Callis of Colcord, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs Ark. with Pastor Marvin Townzen officiating. Burial will follow in Row Cemetery, Colcord, with services under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
