Lillie Bell Eakens, 91, of Portland, Indiana died Monday, October 27, 2003 at her residence. Born May 29, 1912, A native of Batson, Texas she lived in Vidor since 1975, before moving to Portland in 2000. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with graveside services to be held at 4:00 p.m. at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, TX. She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Gierhart of Portland, Indiana, and Anita Fontnow of Vidor, Texas. Eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
