Mary Aline "Nena" Cathey Hardison
SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Nena Hardison, daughter of Ruby and Homer Cathey went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2010, at the age of 90. A service celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Mike Anderson, pastor of Haynes Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th, at Osborn Funeral Home.
Nena was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and her son, Bo. She is survived by her children, Robert Hardison and fiancé, Suzanne Blevins and Mike Hardison and wife, Jenny; grandchildren, Michael, John, Meb, Paul, James, Brad and Jinsy Hardison; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Pipes; and many special cousins.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Nena was devoted to her family, her church and lived her life being kind and loving to everyone she met. Her friendly smile will be greatly missed.
The family requests that memorials be made to Haynes Avenue Baptist Church, where Nena was a Charter Member.
