David Lafayette Cole, 74 year-old Wagoner area resident, died Tuesday, July 30, 1946, at his home east of Wagoner. Funeral services for Mr. Cole will be held this (Thursday) afternoon in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. E. J. Jameson officiating. He was born June 19. 1868 in Dent County Missouri. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Green Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Norman Hope, N. R. Parker, Elijah Johnson, Alvin McKelvey, Walter Barney and Noel Choat.
Besides his wife, Sarah (Davis) Cole, he is survived by four sons; Russell, Vernon, Olen, and Loren; and two daughters; Velma Odum and Hazel Hunter. Three brothers; Elisha, Ed and Charley; 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, also survive.
