Rev. Maurice Lloyd Steele, 84, of Route #5, Box 949, Huntsville died, July 13, 1999 at his home. He was born September 19, 1914 at Wharton, Arkansas, the son of Henry Elmer and Ella Dorsey Steele. He was a farmer and has been a Pentecostal minister for more than forty-five years.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Euna L. Jones Steele of the home; one half sister, Mrs. Wanda Evans of Huntsville and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 16, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Foster; Rev. Noel Foster and Rev. Earl Jordan officiating. Interment was in the Whorton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Garton, Fred Garton, Keith Garton, Dwight Steele, Arthur Steele and Duane Steele. Honorary pallbearers were Doyle Root, Roy Haffelder, Walter Copenhaver, Paul Steele, Virgil Inman and Steven Petersen.
