Betty May Zumwalt, 88, of Bolivar died Monday evening, Nov. 22, 2010, at her home in Bolivar.

She was born July 20, 1922, in Bolivar, the daughter of Roy J. Phillips and Helen M. Johnson Phillips.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ray Henry Zumwalt; and a brother, James Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Estel Zumwalt of the home; one son, Brad E. Zumwalt and his wife, Sandy, of Springfield; one brother, Jerry Phillips and his wife, Nina, of Bolivar; one sister, Maxine Brockert of Springfield; four grandchildren, John, Justin, Sara and Bethany Zumwalt; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sam and Henry Zumwalt.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Polk. Visitation is 5-6 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
