Minnie was semi-mute after she contracted miningitis at the age of 4 years old. She went to the school for the deaf in Macon, Ga. in 1878 at the age of 8. She lived there for 7 years. She was the wife of Robert H. Doster. Their children were Lillian born in 1892 and Frank born in 1894.
