Sarah Catherine Rogers was first married to Joseph J. Henson in Hardeman County, Tennessee in 1851. He was shot to death at their home in Hardeman County, Tennessee by Confederate bushwhackers in front of his wife and children. She escaped Tennesse with the help of her inlaws, William A. and Molly Henson and their families. They came north to St. Louis, and then on to Adams County, Illinois. In 1872 she married John W. Fondren in Callaway County, Missouri. He died shortly after. Again she married in 1879 to Thomas W. Frazier in Sullivan County, Missouri.
Sarah went most of her life by "Catherine" or "Kate". She was a midwife who was called to deliver twins at the home of Hiram Tipton one snowy night in 1898 in Sullivan County, Missouri. When she returned home she was locked out of the house accidently, and froze to death on her doorstep.
