"That he is about twenty nie years of age. That he was born in Chester in England, Kingdom of Great Britain. That he migrated from Liverpool in England in the month of October A.D. 1832 and landed in the City of New York in the United States, in the month of December of said year 1832. And from there to Switzerland County, Indiana in the Fall of 1836. Has resided in the United States ever since that time, and that his intended place of residence is Switzerland Co."
Indentured 15 October 1825 to Francis and James Dickson in Chester, England with the consent of his mother, Mary Huxley. For 6 years in return for training "In the trade or business of Seedsman and also in the Arts, profession or business of an accountant and commercial clerk". Fullfilled indenture 3 Nov. 1831.
