FRANCIS "FRANK" WEST
GROVE - Francis "Frank" West, of Grove, died Thursday, March 30, 2001 at the Grand Lake Villa Nursing Home after a long illness. He was 82. Mr. West was born December 5, 1918 to William and Loukita Saltz West in Arkansas. He served in the United States Army during WWII and received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime area resident and spent most of his life farming and working as a mechanic in Grove and Southwest City, Mo. He was also a member of the American Legion. Mr. West married Cora England in 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Cora of Grove; one daughter, and her husband of Grove. Three sons, Don West and his wife of Tulsa, Okla.; one son and his wife, of Grove; one son and his wife of Commerce, Okla.; two brothers, one of Grove, and one of Washington State; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Rev. John E. Butler to officiate. Interment will be at the Butler Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home."
