Mrs. Lorraine I. Mrozinski, 76, of 504 Grove St., La Porte, and formerly of Michigan City, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at 12:25 a.m., at her son's home after a two-year battle with liver cancer.
She was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Michigan City, to Frank and Maude (Morrical) Kieffer, and had been a La Porte resident for 59 years.
Mrs. Mrozinski worked at Indiana Molding & Frame Company and Al's East Grocery in the bakery. She was an avid gardener and a devoted mother and grandmother.
On Sept. 9, 1948, in La Porte, she married Paul Mrozinski, who preceded her in death on July 1, 1988.
Also preceding in death were her parents; one son, Ronald; and three brothers, Donald Lee, Harvey Kieffer and Paul La Haynn.
She is survived by two sons, Paul (Ilana) and Robert (Wendy), both of La Porte; three grandsons, Adam and Ryan "Barney" Mrozinski and Garry Nichols; and one granddaughter, Cammy Trial; and one sister, Dolores Kieffer of Michigan City.
A private family service was held at Essling Funeral Home, La Porte, today with Rev. Larry Owen officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
