Elizabeth Ransom went home to be with our Lord on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010.
She was one of 12 children born to Homer and Barbara Eldon on Nov. 17, 1917. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Eddie Ransom of Somerset, Carol Davis-Hayes of Vineland, John Ransom of Alexandria, Va., and Glen Ransom of Washington, D.C.; her sisters, Frankie Mason and Willie Davis of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and Christian friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Nehemiah "Edward" Ransom; mom and dad; sisters, Lola, Abie, Muzett, Marrett, Nancy, Belle and Pearl; and brothers, Matthew and John Henry.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Home, 311 N. Patrick St., Alexandria, Va.
Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Alexandria.
