Peter G. Lombardini
LORETTO—Peter G. Lombardini, 88, of Loretto died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Mr. Lombardini was born Oct. 29, 1910, in Franklin Mine, Houghton County, son of the late Joseph and Fannie (Baiocchi) Lombardini, and attended school in Crystal Falls.
Peter married Elizabeth McInnes on Dec. 29, 1945, in Loretto and she preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 1993.
Mr. Lombardini retired in 1972 from Burroughs Corporation in Detroit.
Mr. Lombardini was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church of Vulcan, Norway Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1474 and the Vulcan-Norway-Loretto Lions Club.
he leaves one daughter, Linda Lombardini of Ann Arbor; a grandson, Jason Frenzel of Ann Arbor; three sisters-in-law, Adele Lombardini of Loretto, Gladys Lombardini of Otsego, lower Michigan, and Helen Forecault of Iron River, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Lombardini also was preceded in death by four sisters, Jennie Mauro, Velia Chiamulera, Mary Pretto and Ann Ponozzo.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Miner Funeral Home of Norway, where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Moose Lodge memorial services will be at 7 p.m. and parish prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. as St. Barbara's Catholic Church of Vulcan. Fr. William Callari will officiate.
Burial will be in the Norway Township Cemetery.
