Koosharem, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Eda LaBeth Bosshardt DeLange, age 89, died peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Centerfield, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She is now, once again united with her eternal companion, Leland.

Mom was born March 28, 1920 in Redmond, Utah, a daughter of Charles Conard and Ada Marie Sorensen Bosshardt. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1938 and took some classes at BYU Salt Lake while she lived in South Jordan.

Mom married our Dad, Joseph Leland Delange, June 22, 1939 in the Manti LDS Temple. They lived all their married life in Koosharem. Dad died August 19, 1987.

Mom was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Genealogy Secretary, Beehive Teacher, Primary President, Nursery Leader (while the chapel in Koosharem was being built, her husband helped her and they held nursery in their basement), Singing Mothers Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Drama Director for the Koosharem Ward when they did three-act plays, Relief Society President, Secretary and Class Leader, Jordan River Temple Worker for 4 years and Manti Temple Worker for 5 years. Mom and Dad served an LDS Mission to the Oregon Portland Mission from 1984-86, where she served as Secretary to the Mission President.

LaBeth and Leland owned and operated the Grass Valley Mercantile in Koosharem for many years and she also served as the Postal Clerk. She served on the Koosharem Old Folks Committee.

Mom loved quilting, crocheting, sewing, making crafts, cake decorating, gardening and canning, all of which was shared with family and friends, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and seeing God's beautiful creations.

She is survived by her children: Charles L.and Karen Delange, Vanya D. Hampton, all of Koosharem; Myrna and John Anderson of Salt Lake City; Carmen and Daryl Henderson of West Jordan; Ann and Robert Barnson of Cedar City; Talmage and Janet DeLange of Mtn. Home, Idaho; 34 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren, with two more due in March; 8 great-great-grandchildren with one more due in April; brother: Milo J. Bosshardt of Redmond; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sonoma Bosshardt of Redmond; Shirley and Preston Jackson of Huntsville; Ruth Brown of Salt Lake City; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland DeLange; her parents; a Lamanite son, Herman Livingston; sons-in-law: Jerry R. Ambrose and Robert L. Hampton; 2 great-grandchildren, Brittany and Coy Barnson; sisters and brother: Valda Hales, Faye Bowers, LuEtta Swenson Harrison; and C. LaMar Bosshardt; also several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services and a Celebration of Mom's life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Koosharem, Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
