Bonita King
Bonita King, 87, Bayfield Road, died Wednesday Sept. 7, 1994, at Lutheran Homes after a long illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Walter B. Helms officiating.
Pallbearers are Jon King, Jason King, Dan Rock, David Rock, Michael Rock, Timothy Rock, Andrew Rock, Anthony Rock, Christopher Rock and Marvin Oberhaus. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Riley Funeral Home followed by a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1907, in Davenport, the daughter of Frank and Tillie Lorber.
She was a Lake Township resident for most of her life. She married Clarence B. King on Nov. 23, 1926, in Muscatine.
Mrs. King is a member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors include one son, James B. King of Muscatine; one daughter, Joyce (Mrs. Merle) Rock of Mankato, Minn.; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Fred Lorber of Muscatine and Maurice Lorber of Wapello.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 24, 1986, and one son Ronald King on Nov. 23, 1988, two grandchildren and three sisters.
