JIMMIE BURKS was born June 16, 1935 and departed this life December 8, 2005 reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of the late James Burks and Alice Southwood Burks.

He is survived by two sons, Steve and Barry Burks both of Monticello, KY; one daughter, Melanie Huffaker of Bowling Green, KY; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Jack Burks of Monticello, KY; and three sisters, Vena Peercy, Mary Dodson, and Veola Pennington all of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Burks; one brother, Robert Burks; and one sister, Ruth Hicks.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
