Mrs. Mary Paulsen, 88, died at her home here early this morning following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock, and will be conducted jointly by Rev. Don E. Dulany and Rev. W. A. Flachmeier. Internment Odd Fellows Rest, Columbus Funeral Home having charge.
Mary Baumgarten was born near Berling, Germany, March 27, 1849, and came with her family to Texas in 1869. In 1870 she was married to Gustave Paulsen at High Hill, Texas. His death occurred in 1894.
Surviving Mrs. Paulsen are four children: Lewis E., William J., Herman C., and Mrs. Louise Andriano, all of this city. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
