Mrs. Patterson
At the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Klepper, Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Burdett Patterson; the cause of her death being due to a cancerous tumor of the stomach. She has suffered three months with the disease, but had been confined to the bed but three weeks.
Elizabeth Burdett Patterson was born in Wasnhington county, Kentucky, April 29, 1827, and was therefore three days more than 77 years of age. She came with her parents to this county in 1836 and here she has resided continuously since, being well-known to not only the older resdents, but to the younger ones as well, as she was a general favorite with all who knew her.
Four daughters survive, these being, Mrs. Laura Brisbine, Illinois City, Mrs. E. Klepper, this city; Mrs. Amanda Crisman, Kearney, Neb., and Mrs. Agnes Ritenour, of North Yakama, Wash.
All were present at the time of the passing away of the other, except the last named.
The funeral is appinted to take place from the residence, 413 Sycamore stree, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, and will be conducted by Dr. C. L. Stafford of the First M. E. church.
