Funeral services for Emily Elizabeth Hochman, former long-time resident of Rosenberg, are at 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Emily was born July 18, 1903 in East Bernard, and passed away May 16, 2007. Emily was in nursing care in California at the time of her death. As a young adult, Emily traveled to California, became a housekeeper to several movie stars, married, and had two children, Roberta and Robert. She returned to Rosenberg in the early 1960s and became housekeeper at Holy Rosary for Msgr. Jerome Tydlacka and continued as his housekeeper upon his retirement. Emily returned to California in 1999, resided in assisted living, and enjoyed her family there, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Emily also is survived by her sister, Lena Malek of Houston, and many relatives who miss her greatly.
