Arthur G. Marsh, 97, of Bristol, husband of Barbara (Lawson) Marsh, and widower of Ethel (Garrigus) Marsh, died on Thursday, (March 3, 2005) at Sub-Acute Center of Bristol. Mr. Marsh was born on August 29, 1907, in New Hartford, NY and was a son of the late George and Louise (Thompson) Marsh. He was raised in Bristol and attended Bristol schools and Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH. He worked for New Departure for 36 years before retiring. He also lived in Milan, OH and Brewster, MA before returning to Bristol in 1991. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Bristol.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Marsh is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. and Carol Marsh Sr. of Burlington; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Andrew Parke of Buffalo, NY; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Robert G. and Mary Marsh Jr., of Bristol, Jeffrey and Beejay Marsh of Brigantine, NJ, Jonathan and Donna Marsh of Bristol, Elizabeth Marsh of Saranac Lake, NY, Jeffrey and Diane Parke of Yucca Valley, CA, Sandra Light of Woodstock, IL, Louann Corbidge of Burlington, and Coreen and David Thompson of Granby; seven great grandchildren, Justin, Heather, Alex, and Julianna Marsh, Janice Parke, Ashley and Garrett Thompson; one niece; and three nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church, Bristol, with the Rev. Earl Keirstead, Pastor officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in West Cemetery, Bristol.
