Gewel Verdeene Fogleman, 82, of Roanoke, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in a Grapevine hospital.
Graveside service was 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan.
Verdeene was born Aug. 28, 1924, in the Natty Flat Community, the daughter of Scott and Eula O'Bannon Fogleman, and lived in Mineral Wells until about 1974. She retired from the Richland Hills Water Department in 1989. She was married to John Houston Guinn, but they divorced at some point and she reverted to her maiden name.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Guinn of Justin; daughter, Suretta Shelley of Roanoke; grandchildren, Stacie Bramow, Bryan Guinn and David Hopper; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Travis, Tyler, Katie, Maddie, Nicholas and Lane; great-great-grandson, Jacob; sister, Vernell Pontremoli; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
