Son of Nerses Nersesian (buried in Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY) and Mary Ann Larner Nersesian (buried in Oakwood Cemetary, Bay Shore, NY). Husband of Helena Bayha Nersesian (buried in St Patrick's Cemetery, Bay Shore, NY).

A NYC Police Officer (shield #8688) from 1936-1956 (assigned to the then existing 3rd PCT in Chinatown). Longtime fan of boxing and the New York Football Giants. Chairman of the Conservative Party for the Town of Rochester in Ulster County, NY in the 70's. Bought a farm after retiring from the NYPD.

He very much enjoyed getting those cold containers of iced tea his wife would make for him and his grandson would deliver when he would be out on his John Deere tractor working in the fields in the summertime.

Always doing things for his family, such as making small bales of hay so his young grandchildren could lift them to feed the horses without risk of getting hurt. One of his many gifts to his family was a redwood pool he had built on the farm, which resulted in many hours of happy family time on the deck and in the water. He purchased a white 1964 Pontiac Catalina station wagon to make transporting his grandchildren around easier. Later, he purchased a gray 1967 Pontiac Bonneville station wagon. It had air conditioning, electric windows, and an 8-track player, all of which his grandchildren loved! Although he would put up with letting his grandchildren listen to their own tapes such as by Janis Joplin, the music he loved included that by artists such as Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, and Lynn Anderson.

Loved to cook things on the grill. Enjoyed visits from relatives, especially his older brothers Willie Nersesian (William) who lived in Freeport, Long Island with his wife Mary, and Burt Nersesian who had a farm with his wife Sophie in Cooperstown, NY.

Among his favorite foods were hot dogs with mustard and sauerkraut. Loved his family very much, and completely enjoyed having friends and relatives visit him on the farm, as well as going to visit them.

Beloved by his family for his many sacrifices for them, for sayings such as "merch-a-pipic," and for his soft-boiled eggs and Saltine cracker recipe. He enjoyed having a cup of tea at the kitchen table, where he would listen to 88 AM on the radio (WCBS out of NYC) he had on a shelf behind his kitchen seat. In addition to turning on the TV to see the evening news with Walter Cronkite, he enjoyed seeing the New York Giants games on Sundays, The Ed Sullivan Show, and The Wild Wild West on Friday nights. He would also watch and laugh quite hard at the things Archie Bunker would say on the TV comedy All in the Family. Proud father and grandfather of two children (Mary Lou and Ray) and seven grandchildren (Rusty, Mary Ann, Kathy, Jimmy, Laurie, Cely, and Terry) at the time of his death.
