C. Wallace Fournier, 64, 608 E. Green street, Frankfort, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, in Clinton County Hospital of lung cancer after an illness of three months.

He was born August 3, 1893, the son of Charles and Annie (Hubert) Fournier, in Benton County, near Boswell. On December 26, 1915, he married Gladys Lutz of Lafayette.

Mr. Fournier is survived by the widow; a son, Winston C. of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Morris of Park Forest, Illinois and Mrs. Janet Gray of Martinsville; three sisters, Mrs. Nelle James of Boswell, Mrs. Lucy Cox of West Lafayette, and Mrs. Rebecca McDowell of Lafayette; one brother, James G. Fournier of Boswell; and seven grandsons.

Mr. Fournier graduated from the Boswell High School in 1912, and came to Frankfort in 1925, where he became a salesman for the W. M. Shafor and company, wholesale grocer.

He was a member of the Frankfort First Methodist Church, and was active in choir and quartette work for 32 years. He was a member of Clinton Lodge Number 54, F and A.M., Clinton Chapter Number 82,Frankfort Council Number 46. Mr. Fournier was also a member of the Frankfort Elks Club, and the Frankfort country club, of which he had been president, and a member of the board of directors at the time of his death.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday from the Hartman Funeral Home, the Rev. Otis L. Collier officiating.

Interment follows in Bunnell Cemetery.
