Mr. Heacox was a resident of 1816 Cornell Street, Orlando, FL when he died at Florida Sanitarium, where he had been four months, of carcinoma of the stomach.
He was a retired mail carrier. He was divorced from Jessie Heacox at the time of his death. His parents were Charles E Heacox, of Rome, NY and Harriet Adelaide David, of Lisbon, IL. Informant of record was Mrs. Allie D Bentley of the same address. No services were held in Orlando and Mr. Heacox was cremated. Obituary from the "Kendall County Record" of Yorkville, Illinois dated 14 May 1945:
Edward Heacox
The ashes of Edward Heacox [sic] were brought to Morris from Orlando, Fla., where funeral services were held at the Davis Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Ivan Obenschain, formerly of Morris and Rev. M. S. Tope officiated, burial was in the Lisbon Cemetery.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Gladys Hoefer and Mrs. Olive Hoefer both of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Ernestine Milne of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Eugene Heacox, of Oakland, California, now in the Armed Forces, and a step-son William Heacox somewhere in the Pacific with the Navy, and one brother, Dr. Frank Heacox and a sister, Mrs. Rosabel Robinson.

He married (1) Edna Florence Rose 9 Dec 1897 in Grundy County, Illinois. Edna left Edwin for the hired man.
He married (2) Jessie Adelia Stansberry 22 Oct 1913 in Minot, McHenry, North Dakota.
