WASHBURN, MO. - Alvia Lucille LeBlanc, 79, passed away Jan. 16 at St. John's Hospital in Cassville, Mo.
She was born Sept. 24, 1924 in Washburn, the daughter of James Frances and Jessie (VonStier) Hayworth. In June of 1962 she was united in marriage to Lee LeBlanc, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She received her education at Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School. She moved to St. Louis and then to Michigan, where she met her husband. They resided in California for awhile and then moved back to Michigan, living in Iron River. In 2000 she moved back to Washburn to make her home. While in Michigan she and her husband owned and operated an art gallery.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia Metropulos of Minocqua, Wis.; a step-daughter Deirdre LeBlanc of Van Nuys, Calif.; four brothers, Jim, Alford, Jack and Leonard Hayworth, all of Washburn; three sisters, Gerry Martin of Andover, Kans., Jean Harwick of Valley Center, Kans. and Rosie Walker of Wichita, Kans.; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Wolfe.
Visitation was held Jan. 19 at the Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Erwin conducting the services.
Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River.
Local funeral arrangements were by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

WASHBURN, Mo. - Lucille LeBlanc, 79, formerly of Brule Lake, Iron River, passed away Jan. 16 at St. John's Hospital in Cassville, Mo.
She was born Sept. 24, 1924 in Washburn. The daughter of the late James Frances and Jessie (VonStier) Hayworth received her education at Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School. In June of 1962 she was united in marriage to Lee LeBlanc and the couple resided in California for many years before returning to Michigan to make their home at Brule Lake. They owned and operated an art gallery in Minocqua, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 21, 1988. After the death of her husband, she served on the building committee for the Lee LeBlanc Wildlife Art Gallery and actually donated about 150 prints and proceeded to matte and frame them herself for the opening of the Gallery June 1991. She continued to work on annual fund-raisers and among them was the annual Art Show which is now an annual dinner.
