Franz Ferdinand Joseph Rumping was born 24 April 1859 in Germany. He was the third child of Johannes Carolas Philipp ZumDresch and Anna Maria Gertrud Rumping.

After Franz Ferdinand Joseph Rumping Immigrated to America his name changed to Joseph Rumping

According to Joseph's oldest daughter Mary Rumping Joseph was born in Alfhousen, Hanover Germany in 1859. Family was told that according to the Morman records in Germany that they have Joseph being born in 1856 in Wettrup, Emsland, Niedersaschen Germany. We feel that since his wife Mary (Bruemleve) was born in Wettrup, Emsland, Niedersaschen, Germany that the Morman's just assumed that he was also born there too.

Joseph died 01 November 1935 in St Louis Missouri and was buried in St Peter & Paul Cemetery in Lot # 592 W Sec 26 "Order of Burial: St Peter and Paul Cemetery (Old)Lot 592 W Sec 36. Henry J Rumping, Mary Angela (Bruemleve)Rumping, Joseph Rumping, Raymond Frank Willmering, Mary Gertrude(Rumping)Willmering and Augusta(Rumping)Engleman".

Joseph married spouse Mary Angela Bruemleve in 1883 and within their marriage that had 5 confirmed children.

Joseph's hobby and past time was making his own beer and he did that in his own back yard in a shed and was said to of had a bottle of his own beer every morning with his breakfast says his granddaughter "Gertrude".

When Joseph retired he took up photography and collected many photo's of his family which he developed himself and was said to of been pretty good. Many of those photo's I have posted on the family members added to FAG. So thanks to his hobby we have memories to last a lifetime.
