Aunt Clara was the second daughter of John and Katherine (Bruch) Mann. She married Wendelin Mildenberger on October 23, 1945 and they raised a family of two sons and three daughters.

Uncle Lin and Aunt Clara farmed for a few years at Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan then moved to Regina for a number of years. I remember visiting them in Regina on numerous occasions and my first "holiday" of a few days away from home was spent with them in Regina. They moved to Kelowna, BC in 1962. Aunt Clara worked in the hospital laundry besides raising her family. The highlight of August 1963 was a trip that Mom, Dad, my brother and I made from Lemberg, Saskatchewan to visit them in Kelowna. The Okanagan was so much different than the prairies.

Uncle Lin passed away in 1975 but Aunt Clara continued to live in Kelowna. She was the centre of family get togethers. She had a wonderful (sometimes slightly bent) sense of humour. She was always game for a good laugh, enjoyed playing cards and pulled pranks on anyone. She was always willing to try anything, including riding with her son on his Harley on her 84th birthday. We all miss her.
