Merle "Miki" Bishop, 82, a Tampa native, served Hillsborough County for 33 years and was a devoted member of Temple Terrace United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deane H. Bishop and stepson, Deane Hardin Bishop. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Colson and her husband, Leon, Craig Edwards, Michelle Lieberstein, Kevin Edwards and his wife, Pamela, and Kristen Bishop Nicolai; brothers, Curtis E. Carter, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, and Dale Randall Carter and his wife, Ellie; and sister, Sharon Lee Buckley and her husband, David. Interment at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
