RETIRED RAILROAD WORKER HERE DIES

Jesse J. Roam, 78 year old former employee of both the Missouri and the M-K-T Railroads, and the father of Mrs. George (Fannie) Roberts, died early Wednesday morning, December 29, 1948, in a Muskogee rest home after being in failing health for several months.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, January 1, 1949, in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wagoner with Reverend M.L. Jernigan, pastor, conducting the service.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Hersman Funeral Home of Wagoner.

Besides his daughter, Mrs. Fannie Roberts, he is survived by two granddaughters, Miss Ruby Roberts and Mrs. W.W. McClarrinon, both of Wagoner; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Brittain of Rolla, Missouri; and one brother, John Roam of Manley, Iowa.
