George William Comparet was the son of Clarinda Fulkerson and George Washington McFeely.(Findagrave memorial 113351214) Born in Tombstone, AZ in the bad old days. His parents eloped when Clarinda was just shy of her 15th birthday. The marriage didn't last and both parties had remarried by 1892. Clarinda's second husband, John Comparet, adopted George. George and his wife, Lucy Kemp, had two sons. Lewis George (George Lewis on his death cert) committed suicide in 1937 in Flagstaff, AZ at the age of 22.
George worked for a number of newspapers over the years in both Arizona and California.
